Area, Perimeter, Oh My....

Our last chapter had my students solving tons of area & perimeter problems. I was originally going to create one set of task cards for them....well, I got carried away. I realized that they really struggle with breaking down complex shapes and so I created several resources to help them do that. Then, once they could break down the shapes they needed practice finding area with all sides labeled BEFORE they tackled solving for missing sides. So, I ended up with a bunch of different sets to help all of my students.

And, if you're interested in grabbing all of them...save some money and grab the bundle.

Measure & Classify Angles

My students just finished working on measuring & classifying angles. They LOVED it thanks to a great activity from Runde's Room. While the foldable was great and really helped my students understand the angles, they needed more practice. Task cards!!! And yet another set was born.

3D Shapes - Cubes

My kids have been asking for a task card set like this - yes, the kids asked for it. After a small group session they understood what to do...but knew they needed more practice than the book provided. So, I got to work this weekend and can't wait to bring these to school on Monday! I purposely made some more difficult shapes to make it a challenge for my higher students. And, there are a few rectangular prisms tossed in there to get their feet wet. (And some rectangular prisms with a volume over 50 units! -just so things don't get too easy.)

In-Bot/Out-Bot What a cute little Ro-Bot! (Input/Output Tables FREEBIE)

My mind is spinning this weekend with which skills I want to revisit with my students prior to our state testing. I know that input/output tables - with two-steps and variables - are one thing I want to review. To help my students, I made a cute little set of input/output tables to use during small group. I may even hang them in the hallway and do a daily challenge.
