Valentine's Day Cards for Students

When it comes to Valentine's Day, I hesitate to give my students the boxed cards....you make my heart flutter? I only have eyes for you? Yeah, just not appropriate! But, I have yet to find a decent set of Valentine's Day cards on the internet with graphics that I just love to print out for my 4th graders. So many have chemistry puns that, while I find them quite amusing, will fly over my kids' heads. They're only in 4th grade!

So, I created some cards for teachers to give their upper elementary students. The first set is science-related, but the kids will understand them. The second set contains coupons for extra credit! Who wouldn't love that?? (Both sets are in the same document on Teachers Pay Teachers.)

Thanksgiving Games/Centers

It's getting close to Turkey-Day!!! My students are in the middle of their first opinion prompt - Should turkey be Thanksgiving's main dish? - by Michael Friermood and we're loving it. But, there's always time for games during center time. Here's that game board I promised back when Irma struck.

While digging through my store, I also remembered that I have this fraction unit that's Thanksgiving-themed. I really enjoy reviewing equivalent fractions with it. There's multiple levels of difficulty because we all know that our students aren't at the same place.

Halloween "Morning Work"

Found this on Facebook tonight. I know, it's way too late for most of us for this year, but I'm going to save it for next year. I'm thinking it'd be great to project on the board as the kids are coming into class in their costumes. It'll give them something to do and discuss with each other.
Credit: I have no idea who posted this originally. I found it on Facebook.

Fall/Autumn {Game Boards}

Well, here's another set while I'm out for a week due to Hurricane Irma. We got power back Wednesday night & I've been feeding that itch to create that I had during the storm and the power-less days after. This is actually a set I've wanted to create for a while - given that it can be used for almost 3 months before a Christmas set is needed. But, I'll have a Halloween set ready soon. :) Can't forget about one of my favorite holidays!

Back to School {Game Boards}

Finally got a set of Back to School game boards created for my math centers. I love how easy it is to customize (dare I say, differentiate - I hate buzz words) based on season & skill that needs to be practiced. There are tons of ELA task cards on Teachers Pay Teachers and I've created a fair number of Math ones for 4th grade. If you have a specific need (math related), let me know!

Hurricanes & School Closings & Frightened Students....oh my....

Hurricanes {Activities for the Days Before Your School is Closed}

This is intended for teachers and students in the upcoming days before school is cancelled due to a hurricane while everyone is nervous. Prior to Hurricane Irma, I was constantly trying to reassure my students and encourage them to stay informed and be prepared instead of giving in to panic. I used several of these links to help my students understand what was happening (4th grade) and wished I had a list of resources ready to go when the hurricane was announced. So, here you go. Stored on TPT so when the next one hits the Hurricane State (aka Florida), I’m ready to go too!

Super Kids II Classroom Theme

Our school's theme this year is....Superheros! I love this and have had it as my classroom theme for my board for years. The original classroom theme I had posted on Teachers Pay Teachers has undergone some changes  - mainly taking out the polka-dot background and giving everything a slightly edgier background with loops. I love it.
