While digging through my store, I also remembered that I have this fraction unit that's Thanksgiving-themed. I really enjoy reviewing equivalent fractions with it. There's multiple levels of difficulty because we all know that our students aren't at the same place.

Thanksgiving Games/Centers
It's getting close to Turkey-Day!!! My students are in the middle of their first opinion prompt - Should turkey be Thanksgiving's main dish? - by Michael Friermood and we're loving it. But, there's always time for games during center time. Here's that game board I promised back when Irma struck.

Halloween "Morning Work"
Found this on Facebook tonight. I know, it's way too late for most of us for this year, but I'm going to save it for next year. I'm thinking it'd be great to project on the board as the kids are coming into class in their costumes. It'll give them something to do and discuss with each other.

Fall/Autumn {Game Boards}
Well, here's another set while I'm out for a week due to Hurricane Irma. We got power back Wednesday night & I've been feeding that itch to create that I had during the storm and the power-less days after. This is actually a set I've wanted to create for a while - given that it can be used for almost 3 months before a Christmas set is needed. But, I'll have a Halloween set ready soon. :) Can't forget about one of my favorite holidays!

Back to School {Game Boards}
Finally got a set of Back to School game boards created for my math centers. I love how easy it is to customize (dare I say, differentiate - I hate buzz words) based on season & skill that needs to be practiced. There are tons of ELA task cards on Teachers Pay Teachers and I've created a fair number of Math ones for 4th grade. If you have a specific need (math related), let me know!

Hurricanes & School Closings & Frightened Students....oh my....
This is intended for teachers and students in the upcoming days before school is cancelled due to a hurricane while everyone is nervous. Prior to Hurricane Irma, I was constantly trying to reassure my students and encourage them to stay informed and be prepared instead of giving in to panic. I used several of these links to help my students understand what was happening (4th grade) and wished I had a list of resources ready to go when the hurricane was announced. So, here you go. Stored on TPT so when the next one hits the Hurricane State (aka Florida), I’m ready to go too!

Super Kids II Classroom Theme
Our school's theme this year is....Superheros! I love this and have had it as my classroom theme for my board for years. The original classroom theme I had posted on Teachers Pay Teachers has undergone some changes - mainly taking out the polka-dot background and giving everything a slightly edgier background with loops. I love it.

Tic-Tac-Toe Game {FREE}
This tic-tac-toe game board is a great game to use no matter what subject you are teaching or concept you need to review. Students answer questions provided by the teacher. If correct, they may lay down a piece on the game board. Three in a row wins!
Best of all...this game can be played in a very short amount of time. Perfect for those kids that finish quickly, but don't have enough time to do another full game!

Dominoes (Multiplication, Fractions/Decimals/Percents, and Equivalent Fractions)
Another set of games I've been working on...dominoes! I hope to make many more sets in this series, since they worked so well in my classroom the last few weeks of school. I designed them to be played like Junior Dominoes so that there's no score keeping involved. Let's focus on the math skill...not trying to keep score. :)
The first two items listed have two levels of play to help with differentiated work in your classroom. The third set...well, it just didn't work to have two levels with the number of tiles needed.

Go Fish!! aka...End of the School Year Survival Mode....
I got on a game kick at the end of this year in my classroom. The kids were done. Finished. They'd had it. After getting ready for our state testing (which was a couple weeks later in the school year due to us starting earlier), they were burnt out. But, of course, the district doesn't exactly want us to kick back and watch movies for the last month of school! :) So, I created a few more games so my kiddos would be practicing math skills while having fun. First up: Go Fish!

Addition...
I'm teaching a tutoring class this semester for those of our kids that are just SO CLOSE to scoring the next level on their FSA. We've got 33 lessons and 20 days to teach them...do the math...this isn't going to work for a group that needs to have the lessons slowed down in the first place. The other math teacher & I sat down and figured out which lesson to cut and do with quick reviews (surprise...all the fraction stuff was kept)..and another Math Ladder was born.

Math Ladders
I've added a new Math Ladders to my growing series. And, it's one I've been needing in my classroom!!
I find myself putting at least one multiplication & one division math ladder in my centers rotation every week. My fourth graders need constant review of these concepts. And, once they learn the center, they're easy to switch out on the kids.
Skills in this Set:
Set 3.8 A – Factors are Multiples of 10 and 1,000
Set 3.8 B – Factors are Multiples of 10 and 100
Set 3.8 C – Second Factor is a Multiple of 10
Set 3.8 D - All Digits Are Low, No Zeros
Set 3.8 E – No Zeros
Set 3.8 F – No Zeros
Set 3.8 G –Problem Has a Zero in the First Factor (not multiples of 10)
Set 3.8 H - Mixed

Game Boards
I posted a few new game boards tonight and started working on a holiday series. I love how easy it is to change up the feel of a center without a lot of work just by using a different game board. The kids think they're doing something Christmas-related one minute and a month later they're working on Snowmen or Valentine's Day...and, I didn't even change the task cards!
Use these with any set of task cards and your centers are instantly updated for the month.
